Film storage
Store unopened film in a cool, dry environment. We recommend storing flat in the fridge at a constant temperature of 4 – 18°C / 41 – 65°F. Use film within 12 months of production for best results (see film pack for production date). Chemical changes occur as film ages and can affect how it performs.
Temperature
Bring film to room temperature an hour before use. Film works best at 13 – 28°C (55 – 82°F). Temperature outside this range can affect color and development. Keep film camera close to the body at low temperatures, and cover photos to develop. At high temperatures, develop photos in a cool place.
Shield it, don’t shake it
Film is sensitive to light even after exposure. The film shield covers your photos to protect them from light. For best results, remove photos from under the film shield after a few seconds and place face down to develop (see film pack for development times).
Protect your moments
Keep photos out and away from direct sunlight to let the chemistry dry in their first thirty days. You can then store your Polaroid photos in an album, on a photo stand, or wherever creativity leads.
